As an experienced meeting planner and event marketing executive, Jillene Szostak came to the destination management industry with a unique, hands-on approach.  Beginning her career at the Chicago-based agency Entertainment Marketing Inc. (EMI), Jillene developed her knowledge base through events ranging from educational and motivational training sessions, to complex, multi-room conferences which allowed her to capitalize on her attention to detail and organizational skills.  She joined Chicago Travel Consultants, Inc. (CTC) as an Operations Manager, transitioned to a Senior Account Executive, and within just four years was promoted to Vice President.  Now in her seventh year with CTC, Jillene’s position as Vice President allows her to utilize an innovative method to lead her team to success in a wide spectrum of events.  She manages a team of Account Executives, oversees CTC’s business development through all new proposals and events, and still makes time to execute her own programs.

Jillene is an active member of the Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME), and was an award recipient at the 2007 ADME Achievement Awards for Best Innovative Event ($100,001 to $200,000), and the 2008 ADME Achievement Awards for Best Overall Transportation Logistics.  She also recently attained her Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP) accreditation from ADME, and is recognized within the industry as possessing a certified level of knowledge and performance that increases the value of the products and services of destination management.

Born and raised in Chicago, she possesses a native’s insight to the city with a trained eye for detail. Jillene is a true asset to CTC’s clients with her unparalleled experience, creativity, savvy business sense.  Jillene is a graduate of Bradley University with a Bachelors degree in Communications, and a focus in Public Relations.  In her spare time, she serves as the state Chairman for a national scholarship program for high school girls.
