Museum Campus Techno Hunt

Location: Museum Campus - Field and Shedd

Synopsis:
This division of a pharmaceutical company decided to add a teambuilding program to their Chicago-based meeting. They wanted to drive home the impact their company has on Chicago's Museum Campus through generous sponsorships. 24 teams loaded into buses and snapped fun photos and videos in and around the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium, as they also answered the call of real time challenges posed by HQ.

Leadership Adventure Hunt at the Field Museum

Synopsis:
Two pharma companies brought their sales leaders together to roll out a new drug. As part of their series of meetings, they wanted the guests to get to know each other and work together. We suggested getting the out of the hotel and doing a hunt at the museum. 7 Teams traversed the Field Museum interacting with each other, guests and workers.

Urban Techno Hunt in Milwaukee

Synopsis:
After a day of meeting this international group headed out for a Techno Hunt adventure, navigating the streets of Milwaukee's Riverwalk and Third Ward. Teams completed creative and hilarious photo, video and real time challenges as they made their way to a dinner destination.

Amazing Raise Fund Raiser

Location: John Barleycorn River North

Client: Housing Forward

Synopsis:
This fundraiser brought together 30 teams on an adventure hunt in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Using twitter, teams uploaded photos, answered trivia questions, and completed real time challenges sent from the CEI HQ. Participants had great time while raising money for a great cause.

Audit Partner's Adventure Hunt

Synopsis:
CEI led 12 teams of KPMG executives on an Urban Techno Hunt through the streets of Chicago. Teams received a virtual map with 14 locations to find along with photo and video challenges to complete. Teams were also sent real time challenges at various times during the activity. After the hunt, participants shared laughs and stories as they viewed a slide show of some of the highlights of their adventures!

As a bonding experience for their new employees going through orientation, H&S brought in CEI to get teams out and about around the city. With our Urban Techno Hunt, teams visited popular spots throughout the Loop and Millennium Park, taking photos and interacting with locals.

As a fun way to wrap up their meeting and head to dinner this group brought in CEI to run an urban techno hunt. Teams started at the Hyatt and ended at a restaurant at Navy Pier taking photos and interacting with locals along the way.

The Great H&S Race

For their first interactive summer outing this executive search firm selected CEI's Great Race! Teams traversed the city, hitting some of the popular tourist destinations, and also completed challenges posed by our event staff.

Urban Technohunt

AMA employees were teamed up and sent off on an adventure around the city, beginning at the Hard Rock Hotel and ending at their brand new offices at the Prudential Building!

Creata Communication and Collaboration!

Location: Catalyst Ranch/ Riva

Synopsis:
As a fun afternoon activity to help drive home the meeting theme of communication and collaboration, this small group decided to put forth an Urban Techno Hunt! The international group followed the links on our custom map, directing them to interesting places on North Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier, as well as teaching them about the city! Teams submitted creative and fun photos and videos for points, but most importantly, had a BLAST!

Urban Techno Trolley Hunt

Location: Renaissance Hotel

Synopsis:
This pharma company had a series of meetings in Chicago. With many of the attendees from across the globe, it was a goal to get them into the city and have some fun! Enter CEI. We created a techno hunt that incorporated trolleys so teams could cover a wider expanse of the city - and even threw in a mini-tour of the Loop to boot!

Windy City Experience Hunt

Location: Renaissance Hotel

Synopsis:
80 attendees working in the audit function of a major beverage corporation experienced all that Chicago has to offer! Attendees visited locations such as the Hancock Building, the Art Institute and the Willis Tower over 4 hours on a beautiful day. They tasted Chicago-style pizza and Frango Mints, took a ride on the Water Taxis and "L," and took photos and videos to commemorate their experience!

Urban Technohunt

Staff engaging in a 3-day training were provided a Day-1 Team Building excursion throughout downtown Chicago. Designed as a competition, we encouraged teams to work their creative chops and visit interesting historic locations, while having fun!

Urban Techno Hunt Milwaukee

Synopsis:
Teams answered riddle and puzzle clues, found locations on an interactive map, and responded to real time challenges posed by our HQ in order to score points. They danced at Fred Astaire's Dance Studio, re-enacted the Laverne and Shirley opening and created fun memories!

Windy City Experience (Urban Techno Hunt)

Synopsis:
16 teams made up of employees across the country took creative photos and videos at fun and interesting locations across downtown Chicago.

Techno Hunt in Long Grove

Location: Long Grove, IL

Client: Meetings & Incentives

Synopsis:
This small group from Central America were meeting and visiting their corporate headquarters. To get them working together in a different kind of way and out of the hotel, they decided on a techno hunt in Long Grove. Teams danced in the streets, interacted with locals and overall had a great time snapping photos in the idyllic small town.

The Amazing Raise

Synopsis:
This open to the public fundraiser resulted in 20 teams traversing the city of Chicago with riddle and puzzle clues guiding their way. Through the use of twitter, teams uploaded pictures, answered trivia questions and interacted with @WestSubPads, generating publicity, donations and lots of fun!

Windy City Experience

8 team members who work apart from one another all came together for a guided tour around the city, seeing famous & historic locations; and, along with our structured technohunt experience, had a friendly competition with lots of great photos and videos!

CNA Techno Hunt

Synopsis:
To kick off their mentor program, CNA wanted something fun for their attendees to do and get to know one another. This small group was divided into teams in a random fashion, and hit the streets to find Chicago landmarks, answer questions and complete real time challenges presented by HQ.

HBR Techno Hunt at Pheasant Run

The leadership team spent the day in meetings and wanted to get up and move about. Another goal was to incorporate their ideas for the future of the organization. The techno hunt was a great solution with the flexibility to let the teams go as far as they could, interpret photos and accept real time challenges.

Techno Hunt in Chicago Botanic Garden

Location: Chicago Botanic Garden

Synopsis:
Some of the people from the Quaker division of PepsiCo were meeting at the Chicago Botanic Garden in morning. For the afternoon, they wanted to have a little fun while also doing some teambuilding. CEI ran a Techno Hunt, giving the teams some photos to stage and recreate while receiving additional instructions from HQ, asking them to do a variety of things to earn extra points.

Synopsis:
The participants were divided into 6 teams, and prior to their Cubs game later that evening, they visited historic locations in the vicinity of the Drake Hotel. They posted pictures, videos, and had bystanders singing "take me out to the ballgame" along with them!

Synopsis:
This beer and wine company held a meeting for their finance department. They wanted to get out and see Chicago from a new perspective, so they opted to have an Urban Techno Hunt! Teams visited a variety of locations in the Streeterville neighborhood and posted pictures to commemorate their adventures!

Book of Secrets

Synopsis:
The small group from across the globe paid a visit to the Art Institute in a very creative way. Given a booklet of riddle and puzzles, plus an iPad, teams scoured the galleries in search of masterpieces and information. Throughout the hunt, they interacted with HQ and other teams doing real-time challenges. It was two hours of informative and exhaustive fun!

Amazing Windy City Challenge

To kick off a four-day Public Sector meeting, Front Row Associates hired CEI to run the Amazing Windy City Challenge. The event began with challenges sent to teams two weeks before their arrival in Chicago, Once on site, teams completed real and virtual challenges as they traversed Millennium Park and Chicago's Loop!

Field Museum Book of Secrets

Synopsis:
For a fun afternoon activity, this group of financial managers got to spend some time solving clues and exploring the exhibits of Chicago's Field Museum. The fun wrapped up with prizes at a well-known Chicago Pizzeria.

BMO Urban Techno Hunt

Synopsis:
This financial group was in town for three days and wanted to experience the city in a new way. Teams took creative photos and solved riddles and puzzles to find hidden gems. Our HQ also sent them real-time challenges.

MSI Book of Sccrets

Synopsis:
Custom designed a scavenger hunt for a small group of executives. CEI iPad's were used to document the hunt and to complete challenges involving museum activities and interactive exhibits. Photos and Videos were provided online to client following program.

Urban Search Adventure

A recently-merged healthcare services company wanted to inject a little interactive fun in the three-day meeting. CEI produced a Nautical themed 3G adventure utilizing web-enabled iPads and real time interactive challenges as teams explored Chicago's Magnificent Mile and interacted with the locals.

Corporate Citizenship Challenge - Presented by Goodwill Hunters

Synopsis:
Fifteen Accenture teams solved riddle & puzzle clues, hunted around the Q Center and located school supplies to be donated to Junior Achievement and Genesys Works.

Windy City and A. T. Kearney History Comes Alive!

Synopsis:
Teams tested their knowledge of all things Chicago and A.T. Kearney as they participated in this CEI adventure hunt that tested their cognitive and creative abilities, as they explored Chicago's Loop and River North celebrating 85 years of A.T. Kearney history!

Accenture's Corporate Citizenship Challenge - Goodwill Hunters

Synopsis:
With the help of our CEI team, Accenture continued its endeavor to make an impact on the local community by participating in the Corporate Citizenship Challenge. During the Challenge team worked together to locate hidden school supplies throughout the Q Center. The items that were collected were donated to Junior Achievement and Genesys Works, who provide mentoring services for economically disadvantaged youth.

MSI Adventure Hunt

Location: Museum of Science and Industry

Synopsis:
Kuoni approached us to create a custom experience for the children of a family run company that was having its annual meeting here in Chicago. The group was diverse in age group including elementary, middle school and high schoolers as well as chaperones. After considering several program proposals we were contracted to produce a dynamic point based adventure hunt structured around the exhibits and history of Chicago's world famous Museum of Science and Industry. The group was divided into teams that were led by experienced former museum facilitators CEI tracked down specifically for this program. Groups accumulated points through a combination of trivia, puzzle solving, orienteering and physical challenges all integrated to the Museum's unique environment. Their facilitators kept score, acted as a navigator and assisted with some of the more difficult challenges.

Picture This! Photo Scavenger Hunt

Synopsis:
As part of an incentive reward trip to Chicago, WW Williams treated their employees to a fun view of Chicago. Teams roamed the North Michigan Avenue area in search of the perfect settings for memorable pictures. They got 'thrown out' of famous restaurants, posed with 'sports stars' and 'windy city politicians'. It was a great way for them to see some sights on a beautiful spring morning!

Art & Architectural Orienteering

Location: Start: W-Hotel, End: Gino's East

Synopsis:
For a second evening in a row 20 members of a large home building materials company enjoyed the City of Chicago through a CEI Adventure Hunt. On this night teams relied on their navigation skills, maps and compasses as they sought out significant art and architectural landmarks in the city. Even when a significant site was found teams still had to answer questions related to the site and "shoot a bearing" to answer other questions.

Goodwill Hunters

Location: Golden Gate Park

Synopsis:
Attendees for this hunt have a focus on Diabetes, and wanted to do something to help their cause. They teamed up to answer riddles and puzzles that led them to fun challenges around the park. Upon successful completion of their challenge, they received an item that was then donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes.

Twenty international professionals from a top building materials company kicked off their visit to Chicago with CEI's Picture This! Photo Scavenger Hunt which took participants throughout the city interacting with locals and taking creative team photos. What a great way to introduce guests to the fabulous city which is Chicago!

Wendy In The City

Location: Lincoln Park Zoo

Synopsis:
Eight teams from this local property management firm set out on an important mission from City Hall - to find and stop Wendy Citay from continuing to wreak havoc on the City of Chicago by changing its visitors guide. Riddle and puzzle clues, digital photo taking and just plain old fun was in-store for this group of adventures as they scoured the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Lincoln Park Conservatory in search of this misguided villain!

T-Systems Picture This!

Synopsis:
Teams set out to conquer the city armed with digital cameras and their imaginations. Each team was given a list of photo suggestions and items to gather. Upon returning to home base (the hotel) teams put together a collage to visually tell the story of their adventure.

Highgate Senior Living - Adventure Hunt

Highgate Senior Living teams had the opportunity to get out of the hotel, explore Chicago and have fun shooting creative pictures all over the city with our Picture This! adventure hunt. Prizes were awarded to the teams in several categories and everyone went home a winner!

McDonald's Windy City History Comes Alive!

Teams from food service giant had the opportunity to test their knowledge of all things Chicago and see the city through the eyes of a tourist. Teams solved riddle and puzzle clues which led them to historic Chicago landmarks and “Famous Chicagoans.”

The Great Race

Synopsis:
In conjunction with celebrating their 70th year in business, a national team of 30+ Beltone sales professionals met at Pizzeria Due to set out on their Great Race experience including solving riddle and puzzle clues, completing challenges and collecting unique items specific to Chicago! The ultimate goal was to collect the most gold coins along the way and arrive at the finishing mat at Ben Pao's in the time allowed. A great way to spend a summer afternoon in downtown Chicago!

Picture This! Photo Adventure Hun

Location: The Ritz-Carlton

Synopsis:
During a four day series of meetings to kick off a new intelligence platform, Wolters Kluwer tapped CEI to coordinate a fun activity. Our popular Picture This! Adventure Hunt was the ideal activity to get participants on their feet and exploring Dallas' Uptown neighborhood. Teams got the opportunity to "visually interpret" phrases and terms they were learning while "Forging a New Frontier".

The Great Kraft CRM Road Trip

Synopsis:
To have some teambuilding fun during a couple of days of meetings, M&I tapped CEI to produce A Road Trip Scavenger Hunt in the style of The Great Race. Teams traveled through the Loop, Millennium Park, and River North, competing in challenges and taking photos. The final Pit Stop was at Brasserie Jo, where the winning teams were awarded Chicago souvenirs.

Picture This! Photo Adventure Hunt in Long Grove

Location: Kovitz Office and Downtown Long Grove, IL

Synopsis:
Forty support personnel from the law offices of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit descended on the quaint downtown of Long Grove, Illinois to picture themselves "being wined and dined" as members of the Fine Dining Theme Team or "creating a masterpiece" as part of the Art Theme Team. With each team randomly selecting three out of nine potential themes (each with a dozen photo options), the fun continued for over two hours as participants interacted with the locals and teammates alike. When all the photos were captured participants traveled back to the Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit offices where they completed photo storyboards to present to everyone of their team's great adventure!

Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit Annual All Attorney Retreat Orienteering in the Zoo

Synopsis:
As part of the Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit Day at the Zoo, the attorneys tapped CEI to provide a customized orienteering hunt around this unique venue. Solving puzzles and riddles that led them to a variety of exhibits in the zoo, teams moved in every direction, armed with a map, a compass and their ingenuity. The afternoon was spent learning interesting facts about the zoo occupants, and their teammates as well!

Picture This! Hunt

Synopsis:
For a fun teambuilding activity, Hub International contacted CLI for some hunt ideas. We put together a Picture This! Hunt, complete with digital cameras and individual team photo printing stations. Teams scoured the Loop and River East areas for the perfect background for their pictures. Each team was given the opportunity to have three different themes throughout the hunt to keep it all interesting. At the end, teams listened to Olympic Bob-Sled hopeful Jesse Beckhom.

Clinical Affairs Team Scavenger Hunt

Synopsis:
After a day of meetings the Clinical Affairs Team took part in our Picture This! Photo Scavenger Hunt. They had the opportunity to get out of the hotel, explore Chicago and have fun shooting creative pictures all over the city. Prizes were awarded to the teams in several categories and everyone went home a winner!

MWI Scavenger Hunt

Synopsis:
One of this conference’s sponsors invited attendees to participate in a scavenger hunt around Chicago after dinner. CEI produced a photo and scavenger hunt where teams collected items in various categories and photographed their team with the items. Ending at Dick's Last Resort, teams printed photos from their digital cameras and created collages. The sponsor judged and awarded prizes to the teams with the "Most Creative Photos," "Most Artistic Collage," and "Best Overall Team Spirit."

The Great ATB Financial Race

Synopsis:
Teams raced through the streets of Chicago using clues to determine their next locations while participating in challenges to earn gold coins.

National Treasure Book of Secrets

Location: The Field Museum

Client: Total Event Resources

Synopsis:
The Field Museum exhibits were the backdrop for this hunt. Guests were invited to explore the museum and answer questions in their Book of Secrets while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvre before dinner. Once teams returned to their tables, they shared answers around the table and turned in a master book of secrets for scoring.

Picture This! Photo Adventure Hunt

Location: Marriott Courtyard to Lincoln Park Zoo

Synopsis:
A team of 15 hospitality professionals scoured North Michigan Avenue, River North and Millennium Park in search of imaginative photos to create a one-of-a-kind storyboard of their adventure. The final destination where the storyboards were completed was the Lincoln Park Zoo.

MPC Offsite Program

Location: Hotel Orrington

Synopsis:
As a teambuilding energizer for their bi-annual offsite meeting, this group of engineers decided to hit the streets of Evanston in their very own mini Amazing Race. Eight challenge locations were found around town, including a Roadblock and Detour.

The Great Chicago Chase

Location: Start/end: Marriott Chicago, Hunt: Downtown Chicago

Client: On The Scene, Inc.

Synopsis:
Created the Great Chicago Chase for a group of fifty pharmaceutical reps from various South American countries. Each team of about 8 participants traveled in separate mini-coaches to up to 20 popular locations in the city including Wrigley Field, Sears Tower and the North Avenue Beach. Various Chicago characters were at several of these locations including Mrs. O'Leary at the old Water Tower and a local "up-and-coming" comic at Second City. Clues were translated in Spanish and Portuguese for the event.

Hunt for Sam and Frank - A Culinary Adventure

Location: Lincoln Park Neighborhood

Client: Lockton

Synopsis:
A small group of associates from Lockton took to the streets of Lincoln Park to find the fiends Sam and Frank. Armed with a packet of clues and a Polaroid camera, they took photos along the way to detail their adventures. The teams met up twice during the hunt to get new information and have some refreshments. At the end, they caught the culprit, and had celebratory food and beverage at John Barleycorn.

Synopsis:
Kids between the ages of 7 and 16 were assigned a chaperone and then set loose to photograph themselves in the city. Meeting up with their emcee twice during the hunt, each team got new topics for their photos for each leg. Returning to the hotel, happy and tired, they constructed collages to help tell their tales for the day.

Producing this event for a second year for this client, a multi-state tax team from a major accounting firm scoured the grounds of the Lansdowne Resort in Virginia in search of the elusive art thief Con-Artist Joe. Teams completed a series of six challenges and solved a variety or riddle and puzzle clues to apprehend this villain. A debrief at the end closed this adventure and helped teams analyze their strategies for success!

The Great Race - Where the Miles Meet Race

Synopsis:
Teams raced through the streets of Chicago to partake in airline themed challenges and collect stamps in their passports before hitting the Pit Stop mat.

Hunt for Con Artist Joe

Location: DFW Hilton Lakes Executive Center

Client: Corporate Learning Institute

Synopsis:
A multi-state tax team from a major accounting firm scoured the grounds of the DFW Hilton Lakes Executive Center in search of the elusive art thief Con-Artist Joe. Teams completed a series of six challenges and solved a variety or riddle and puzzle clues to apprehend this villain. A debrief at the end closed this adventure and helped teams analyze their strategies for success!

Hunt for Sam & Frank

Synopsis:
Summer associates scoured Chicago to find and determine who has been tampering with Chicago's food & beverage. Was it the illusive Frank Furter, or the conniving Sam "Pale" Adams? Only the winning team(s) could tell you!

The Great Race

Location: Marriott Chicago

Synopsis:
This Great Race through Chicago included 56 teams going through two different loops (28 in each loop - in different directions) performing 12 different challenges along the way - including detours and roadblocks. They gathered puzzle pieces to put together a final picture before they could hit the mat.

Roaring 20's Picture This!

Location: Start - Drake Hotel End - Lawry's

Client: GMS

Synopsis:
As part of a Gangster theme Incentive Trip to Chicago, this group of financial managers from England took part in a Roaring 20's Picture This! Each team was given a 20's style team (Prohibition Team, Untouchable Team, etc.), a Polaroid camera and a chance to wander the North Michigan Avenue area snapping shots that fit their themed list.

Hunt for Con Artist Joe

Synopsis:
After a significant downsizing, this company's HR department wanted a fun team-building event to re-connect the group and raise morale. The Hunt for Con-Artist Joe was customized for the company including tidbits about the people in the company and happenings from their past events. Each team nominated a member for their Most Valuable Special Agent, and got to root them on during a rousing trivia game at the end.

Hunt for Chicago Joe

Synopsis:
Our lead facilitator tied the day together for this group of managers from all around the country. They started the morning with an icebreaker, and then teamed up to find the conniving Chicago Joe!

Orienteering Adventure Hunt

Hunt for Tax Cheat Tim

Location: Eaglewood Resort and Spa

Client: On the Scene Destination Management

Synopsis:
Tax Cheat Tim needed to be found and stopped at suburban Chicago's Eaglewood Resort, before he corrupted the books of this highly respectful telecommunications giant. Finance Managers were assigned to find Tim, and along the way they met Informants, who gave them clues, once they completed challenges, solved puzzles or photographed evidence. Tim was apprehended, and the company's reputation was saved.

Olympic Theme Adventure Hunt

Location: Chicago

Client: Neal Gerber & Eisenberg

Synopsis:
The spirit of the 2004 Olympics in Athens was captured in this customized hunt for a Chicagoland firm. Instead of the standard prospects to look for, summer interns and young lawyers went on the search for Phevos and Athena the two little Olympic Mascots who got lost in Chicago while scoping it out for future Olympic games.
