MSI Adventure Hunt

Program Synopsis: Kuoni approached us to create a custom experience for the children of a family run company that was having its annual meeting here in Chicago. The group was diverse in age group including elementary, middle school and high schoolers as well as chaperones. After considering several program proposals we were contracted to produce a dynamic point based adventure hunt structured around the exhibits and history of Chicago's world famous Museum of Science and Industry. The group was divided into teams that were led by experienced former museum facilitators CEI tracked down specifically for this program. Groups accumulated points through a combination of trivia, puzzle solving, orienteering and physical challenges all integrated to the Museum's unique environment. Their facilitators kept score, acted as a navigator and assisted with some of the more difficult challenges.

Picture This! Photo Scavenger Hunt

Program Synopsis: As part of an incentive reward trip to Chicago, WW Williams treated their employees to a fun view of Chicago. Teams roamed the North Michigan Avenue area in search of the perfect settings for memorable pictures. They got 'thrown out' of famous restaurants, posed with 'sports stars' and 'windy city politicians'. It was a great way for them to see some sights on a beautiful spring morning!

Program Synopsis: For a second evening in a row 20 members of a large home building materials company enjoyed the City of Chicago through a CEI Adventure Hunt. On this night teams relied on their navigation skills, maps and compasses as they sought out significant art and architectural landmarks in the city. Even when a significant site was found teams still had to answer questions related to the site and "shoot a bearing" to answer other questions.

Picture This! Photo Adventure Hunt in Long Grove

Program Synopsis: Forty support personnel from the law offices of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit descended on the quaint downtown of Long Grove, Illinois to picture themselves "being wined and dined" as members of the Fine Dining Theme Team or "creating a masterpiece" as part of the Art Theme Team. With each team randomly selecting three out of nine potential themes (each with a dozen photo options), the fun continued for over two hours as participants interacted with the locals and teammates alike. When all the photos were captured participants traveled back to the Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit offices where they completed photo storyboards to present to everyone of their team's great adventure!

Solving puzzles and riddles that led them to a variety of exhibits in the zoo, teams moved in every direction, armed with a map, a compass and their ingenuity. The afternoon was spent learning interesting facts about the zoo occupants, and their teammates as well!

Program Synopsis: For a fun teambuilding activity, Hub International contacted CLI for some hunt ideas. We put together a Picture This! Hunt, complete with digital cameras and individual team photo printing stations. Teams scoured the Loop and River East areas for the perfect background for their pictures. Each team was given the opportunity to have three different themes throughout the hunt to keep it all interesting. At the end, teams listened to Olympic Bob-Sled hopeful Jesse Beckhom.

The sponsor judged and awarded prizes to the teams with the "Most Creative Photos," "Most Artistic Collage," and "Best Overall Team Spirit."

The Great Chicago Chase

Program Synopsis: Created the Great Chicago Chase for a group of fifty pharmaceutical reps from various South American countries. Each team of about 8 participants traveled in separate mini-coaches to up to 20 popular locations in the city including Wrigley Field, Sears Tower and the North Avenue Beach. Various Chicago characters were at several of these locations including Mrs. O'Leary at the old Water Tower and a local "up-and-coming" comic at Second City. Clues were translated in Spanish and Portuguese for the event.

Hunt for Sam and Frank - A Culinary Adventure

The teams met up twice during the hunt to get new information and have some refreshments. At the end, they caught the culprit, and had celebratory food and beverage at John Barleycorn.

Finance Managers were assigned to find Tim, and along the way they met Informants, who gave them clues, once they completed challenges, solved puzzles or photographed evidence. Tim was apprehended, and the company's reputation was saved.

Instead of the standard prospects to look for, summer interns and young lawyers went on the search for Phevos and Athena the two little Olympic Mascots who got lost in Chicago while scoping it out for future Olympic games.
